Girl Guides - Skills for Life

Baulkham Hills Bat-Tacular Guides—The Spectacular Bats*!

Bat-Tacular Guides are aged between 10 and 15 years. Sometimes we accept nine-year-olds as well.

We meet for two hours every Monday night during the school year, including public holidays.

Our program is varied and lots of fun. We particularly love camping.

Our members are happy, vibrant and friendly, and we are having lots of fun together learning life skills and exploring the outdoors.

We have two Leaders for 2008, and would welcome another. Kalina has been the Leader of 2nd Baulkham Hills Guides (now renamed as Bat-Tacular Guides) since 1977, and Kari has come to us from the UK and will be with us for a year.

We currently have vacancies for girls between the ages of 10 and 15 to join our Unit. Please contact us if you would like to join.

*Why are we called the Spectacular Bats? Because our mascot is a bat (we slept on board the HMAS Vampire twice, and decided to adopt the bat as our mascot as a result of this fantastic experience). So Bat (mascot) - Tacular (spectacular) = Spectacular Bats!
